Certificate III Agriculture AHC30116

Developed in consultation with industry specialists, the Certificate III in Agriculture program arms participants with a broad range of rural and agricultural skills and also addresses the key employability skills needed to succeed in the workplace.

We blend workshop learning with extensive practical field based activities, industry excursions and work experience placements. The successful achievement of this qualification requires you to complete 2 core units and 14 elective units in total.

Entry Requirements

This qualification may be accessed by direct entry.


After successful completion this course leads to further training in Certificate IV Agriculture (AHC40410).

Career Opportunities

This qualification can lead to careers in different enterprises and organisations within the Agricultural sector. Individuals are able to work in some situations without supervision or in teams as farm hands performing a range of duties. As part of this program you will participate in a work experience placement to gain hands on experience in the Industry. This does not guarantee paid employment on completion.


Participants are assessed via completion of required tasks and a demonstration of skills, e.g. Written and verbal assignments, practical work, projects and/or written tests.

Additional Information

Practical placement is a requirement to successfully complete this course. This course can also be completed as a traineeship.
